In Bulgaria there are many legends, one in particular which dates from the XVIII (eighteenth) century, talking about a totally different Dracula monster, in particular it would look more like a Minotaur, because he would have the head of a bull and the body of a giant.
According to legend annually people sacrificed the most beautiful girl in the city, in order to get favors or rather, in order that the monster will leave peacefully. For this they took her to the lake, introduced her in a boat full of gifts for the "water bull".
And this was so, until most beautiful girl ever seen, was offered in sacrifice, when the monster saw her he fell in love and instead of killing her gave eternal life to live with him until the end of the day on the lake bottom, since then he hasn't been seen.
Bulgaria is a country with 7,384,000 population and in 2009 attracted over 350,000 tourists with this story.
¿What truth is there in all this?
Well surely the romantic beautiful maidens that the monster ate is nothing more than a catfish, a 'little fish', which in this lake can reach up to 5 meters and 350 kilos.
